WHAT IS COMPOUNDING?

Compounding is the mixing of drugs to fit specific/special needs of a patient. Compounding is done for medical reasons such as changing the form of the medication from a solid pill to a liquid, to avoid a non-essential ingredient that the patient has an allergy to, or to obtain the exact dose needed. Compounding is also used to add flavors to medication.
